Do you know of any good PC Guitar lessons?
I have a 10 yr old boy who got a electric guitar for Christmas.He knows a little bit on how to play but very little. I would like info on good PC guitar lessons and any other sugestions anyone may have to help him learn.
I second Nick, above- I’ve been playing and teaching on the side for 20+ years, so here goes-
1) There’s no substitute for the give and take of a live instructor. If money’s an issue, locate a teenager in the neighborhood who plays- you could have an informal arrangement, he’ll probably come over to your home, and charge less than the guy at the music store. Another place to look is a local college/university with a music department. You could always call a local high school, and the music teacher will be glad to recommend a student who’s looking for some extra cash.
Finally, if you belong to a church with a contemporary worship music group, check them out. One or more of the musicians almost always teaches on the side, and it tends to be a pretty wholesome environment.
