what are guitar chords and where can i learn them?

so like my other question i have been learning guitar and i just been playing tabs. what are chords exactly and where can i learn them? if u can explain how i can learn them your selfs

Go get a real book froma real music shop. The best books are:
PROGRESSIVE RHYTHM GUITAR and PROGRESSIVE LEAD GUITAR
You want to learn chords but I’d suggest you get the lead book because it will teach you to read music as well (and you’ll be able to play lead and rhythm guitar)
The books are full of photographs, drawings, charts and instructions. There’s also a CD so you an jam along when you practice. Dont bother with this web stuff, I’ve checked it out and it’s tragic at best. Get a real book and then as soon as you can get a real teacher who’ll fix everything youre doing wrong with your fingers and wrists etc… You’ll get what where yu want to be a lot faster.
