What is the best way to Learn Guitar scales?

I heard about the E minor pentatonic scale, but I can not other buttons alone and in the pattern of movement up and down the sleeve. Is it worthwhile to learn the size and shape of train scales with the theory of music? Do players guitar, learn scales notes or templates?
