Auto-learning the guitar? Suggestions?

My mother promised to make an acoustic guitar, and I have no time / money to get a teacher, so I self-study. But I know nothing of the notes, I'm good in action to judge because I was playing the piano, but I know nothing about guitars. Can anyone tell me tell where I can learn the basics and fundamentals that please? Thanks!
